Proses install berjalan lancar tanpa mengalami kendala apapun. Setelah proses intall Windows selesai, seperti biasanya dilanjutkan dengan proses install driver (Driver saya download dari sini http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=5064666). Di sinilah masalahnya.

Setelah install VGA berhasil, ada sedikit kendala. Pada layar LCD dari notebook G4-1003TU tersebut masih terdapat sedikit blur, terutama pada bagian font dari desktop yang terlihat sedikit blur (Jika dilihat sekilas hal tersebut tidak terlihat, tetapi jika diperhatikan secara seksama masih ada sedikit blur pada bagian font). Blur tersebut semakin terlihat ketika menggunakan web browser untuk mengakses internet.
Karena masih kurang “sreg” dengan tampilan layar yang blur, saya browsing mencari solusi. • Uninstall dan install kembali driver VGA.
• Uninstall dan install VGA driver menggunakan driver versi lama (Downgrade driver).
• Install ulang Windows 7 32 bit.

Semua point diatas sudah saya lakukan tetapi hasilnya masih sama, layar notebook HP G4-1003TU masih ada sedikit blur pada bagian font. Untuk point terakhir saya melakukannya karena berfikir mungkin saja ada yang bermasalah dengan OS Windows.
Sempat juga berfikir, apakah masalahnya terdapat pada LCD layar? Karena hal itu saya mencba menggunakan port VGA dan dihubungkan dengan monitor eksternal. Hasilnya sama saja, masih terdapar blur pada layar. Dari sini saya mengambil kesimpulan, yang bermasalah bukan berasal dari layar LCD, melainkan bagian dalam laptop (Bisa chipset VGA atau yang lain).
Sampai di sini terbesit ide untuk membawanya ke service center HP untuk mendapatkan bantuan yang lebih baik.
Entah apa yang saya fikirkan, saya tertuju pada link download Windows 7 64bit. Tanpa “babibu” lagi, saya download Windows 7 OEM 64bit ke komputer. Setelah menunggu sekitar 10 jam (Menggunakan koneksi speedy telkom), akhirnya file ISO Windows 7 OEM 64bit sudah ada pada komputer. Selanjutnya seperti biasa, burning file ISO pada kepingan DVD R.

Sama seperti proses sebelumnya, proses install berjalan lancar. Download dan install driver VGA 64bit berjalan lancar. Setelah notebook meminta restart, wow, apa yang saya dapat, blur yang tadi hilang. Lega bukan main karena saya menemukan solusinya. Notebook HP G4-1003TU ini harus diinstall Windows 7 64bit agar VGA berfungsi dengan maksimal.
Dengan hal ini saya tidak perlu lagi membawa notebook seri G4 ini ke service center HP untuk mendapatkan bantuan lebih lanjut.

A) Bisa iya bisa tidak. Bisa jadi jika anda install menggunakan Windows 7 32bit dengan Service Pack yang berbeda hasilnya juga akan berbeda. Kalau mau tahu jawabanya silahkan anda prakter sendiri.
Q) Apakah memang harus update BIOS?
A) Sepertinya tidak perlu, cukup dengan menginstall Windows 7 64bit (Seperti yang saya lakukan) msalah VGA pada G4-1003TU akan teratasi.
Q) Bagaimana jika ingin tetap menggunakan Windows 7 32bit dan mencari driver VGA lain yang mungkin sesuai dengan notebook? Apakah akan berhasil?
A) Bisa iya bisa tidak karena saya sendiri belum mencoba semau driver yang bertebaran di internet. Mungkin saja, dengan driver versi yang berbeda hasilnya juga akan berbeda.
